Stay-At-Home! Live Lounge

This Stay-At-Home! Live Lounge features crime authors Stella Oni, Karen Rose, and James Oswald in discussion with Lauren North about their new books.

Lauren North writes psychological suspense novels that delve into the darker side of relationships and families. She has a lifelong passion for writing, reading, and all things books. Lauren’s love of psychological suspense has grown since childhood and from her dark imagination of always wondering what’s the worst thing that could happen in every situation. Lauren studied psychology before moving to London where she lived and worked for many years. She now lives with her family in the Suffolk countryside.

Sunday Times bestseller Karen Rose was introduced to suspense and horror at the tender age of eight when she accidentally read Poe’s ‘The Pit and The Pendulum’ and was afraid to go to sleep for years. She now enjoys writing books that make other people afraid to go to sleep. Her new title, ‘Say No More’, is the second gripping instalment of the popular Sacramento series.

Stella Oni was born in Clapham, London, brought up in Nigeria and lives in the UK. She has a degree in Linguistics and African Languages from the University of Benin and a MSc in Information Systems and Technology from City University, London. Her new book Deadly Sacrifice is a chilling new thriller introducing Detectives Toks Ade, Philip Dean, and investigative author Coretta Davis.

James Oswald is the author of the Sunday Times bestselling Inspector McLean series of detective mysteries. The first two of these, Natural Causes and The Book of Souls, were both short-listed for the prestigious CWA Debut Dagger Award. Set in an Edinburgh not so different to the one we all know, Detective Inspector Tony McLean is the unlucky policeman who can see beneath the surface of ordinary criminal life to the dark, menacing evil that lurks beneath. ‘What Will Burn’ is the eleventh book in the Inspector McLean series.
